BMW has released details of its next electric car concept, following the beginning of limited public trials of the Mini E recently.
The ActiveE concept is based on the 1 Series Coupe and has a 170hp electric motor specially developed for the concept. Power is from a new lithium-ion battery system, and the real world range is about 160km on a full charge.
It has a 0-100km/h capability of less than nine seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 145km/h.
