Suzuki recall Alto/Nissan Pixo

The manufacturer of Nissan's Pixo and Suzuki's Alto, Maruti Suzuki in India, has recalled 100,000 of the cars to fix a potential fuel filler problem.

Some of the cars are those exported to Europe, according to reports in Automotive News Europe.

The problem, which was fixed in cars built after August 22 last year, involves possible fuel leaks after the car's tank was filled above a certain level.

Suzuki Ireland says its dealers have been notified of the recall and they are dealing with any affected customers.

No accidents have been reported over the problem, which was discovered during internal testing at the factory.
