This should make the vehicle, previously only available with a 3.5 V6 petrol, much more acceptable in the European market context.
The engine is a subtantially revised version of one already in Nissan's powertrain range. It produces 190hp and 450Nm of torque. It will be available in September.
The current generation Murano, introduced to Europe in 2008, has not been on sale in Ireland.
