Land Rover sales grow again

The premium SUV segment seems to be kicking back after being pummelled to the ropes early on in the recession.

On a global level, sales were up 43 percent in March compared to the same month in the previous year. It was the sixth consecutive month of improvement for the brand, which is owned by the India-based Tata Motors Group.

In Ireland, sales of Land Rovers for the first three months of the year were the same as for all of 2009, with 40 percent of them being the Freelander 2.
