Mazda3 saloon popular choice

Mazda in Ireland has sold over 430 Mazda3 saloon models this year, making it the second most popular 4-door model after the Toyota Corolla. The numbers reflect the ongoing affection which Irish motorists have with saloons, an association unique in western European car markets.

According to Mazda Dealer feedback, many customers arrive into the showroom looking for a hatchback, but tend to be drawn toward the distinctive design of the saloon model.

The most popular engine in the Mazda3 range is the Band A 1.6 diesel, which averages 4.5L/100km (62mpg).

Mazda has confirmed it is continuing its scrappage scheme. The Mazda3 is available from €17,995.
