Audi expects big sales of A1

Audi is now expecting some 50,000 sales of its new A1 entry level car for 2010, production of which begins next week.

Audi has run a weeks-long Internet-based teaser advertising campaign for the model and hired pop star Justin Timberlake to sell the car to fashion-oriented youngsters with at least €15,800 to spend on a new car.

The company is expecting annual sales of 100,000 units of the car.
