A person's car in these days of highly connected lives is increasingly becoming a haven for solitude.
That's a view to be taken from a survey for Skoda which suggests that six in ten motorists are happier when driving alone.
Most get best enjoyment when listening to the radio or their own music, while 12 percent become 'uplifted' by passing beautiful scenery. A 10 percent return who said they used their car for 'time to think' must indicate very busy lives outside their vehicle, to which they escape for 'me time'.
