The rest of this year and early 2011 are shaping up to be a very busy time for Nissan Ireland with the introduction of a number of new products including a 2010 Qashqai, a new Micra, the Juke crossover, and the launch of the brand's new electric vehicle, Leaf, in February 2011.
New products include the 370Z Roadster which will be available from January, powered by a 3.7 V6 engine outputting 328hp and with a top speed of 250 km/h. This 3-door sports coupe takes just 5.3 seconds for the 100 km/h sprint.
This is a halo product for the brand and is priced from just under €57,000. The Irish specification includes, as standard, 19-inch wheels, leather seats, Intelligent Key, Bose audio system, and anti scratch paint on metallic colours.
The sports segment in Ireland is currently tiny, at 0.5 percent of sales. However, the Z Car is an icon for Nissan. Cars will be imported on a customer order basis, but the company in Ireland expect to sell around 20 a year.
The 2010 Qashqai has been given some exterior tweaks. These include new headlights, new upper grille and front bumper, a new bonnet and front wing, as well as new alloy wheels. Interior changes include a new and more user friendly Combimeter and the illumination colour has been changed to white. TW
