The Topaz Donegal International Rally takes pole position on the weekend of Friday 18th June to Sunday 20th June.
Over 70,000 spectators are expected to line the 275 kms route over three days as families, motor sports fans and car enthusiasts from all over the country watch Ireland’s top rally drivers compete for championships points as part of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.
On the opening day of this year’s rally there will be a town stage around the streets of Buncrana, the first town stage in the Rally for nearly 30 years. The event will also incorporate a Historic Rally competition and the Fiesta Challenge on Saturday the 19th followed by a Junior Rally on Sunday the 20th. The presentation of prizes will take place in Letterkenny on Sunday evening.
This year the Donegal Motor Club is celebrating its 40th birthday and a number of events are planned to celebrate this milestone.
