Fiat will migrate its new 2-cylinder TwinAir petrol engine to other models after the powerplant debuts to the public in September in the 500.
The 900cc turbocharged unit will be available in 64/84/105hp versions. Performance from the engine is similar to 1.4 normally aspirated units, but with a claimed 30 percent improvement in fuel consumption and emissions.
The engine is also likely to be exported to other brands owned by Fiat.
