Almost 120,000 Transits have been sold in Ireland, and it is estimated they have cumulatively driven some 5 billion miles here.
Across Europe, six million Transits have been sold. There have been five style generations, and these days there are more than 140 configurations available.
The vehicle was twice the winner of the Semperit Irish Van of the Year, selected by the Van Jury of the Irish Motoring Writers Association.
It has for many years been the biggest selling van nameplate in Ireland.
