Ferrari is proud of its fiery motor cars, and paints most of them a fiery red. But it's red faces at Modena just now because they've had to recall 1,248 of their cars subject to a fire risk.
The company has been informed of five fire incidents involving the 458 Italia supercar, where adhesive used in the wheel-arch assemblies has overheated and ignited.
The recalled cars are 458s built prior to July of this year. The adhesive will be replaced with mechanical fasteners.
The fires reported were from California, Paris, Switzerland and China.
