The engine will be based on the 1.2 3-cylinder unit which will power the new generation Micra revealed at Geneva and due on sale in Europe soon. It is already A-rated in Irish CO2 tax terms at 115g/km.
The last of the current generation Micra rolled off the lines at Sunderland, England, in early August. The new car is being built in India for Europe.
