BMW has unveiled its new M1 based on the 1 Series Coupe.
The new 'M' has nearly 70hp more output than its predecessor, with 340hp and a stunning 500Nm of torque, which can propel the car to 100 km/h in under five seconds.
The twin-turbo 3.0 engine burns fuel at around 10L/100km (29.4mpg) and the car scrapes in under the most penal CO2 tax rate here with 224g/km.
Well, there's no such thing as a free lunch, is there? This a pure fun car. Not sure how many, if any, will get to our roads.
