The new Nissan Micra city car is now on sale priced from €14,195-16,995, writes Trish Whelan.
New Micra is a hugely important car for the brand, and this latest model comes with better fuel economy and improved handling and braking.
The new Micra is powered by a new 3-cyl 1.2 petrol engine with 80PS producing just 115 g/km of C02 (Band A) making it one of the cleanest engines in the world. Fuel economy is 5.0 L/100kms.
Three trims are offered, XE, SV and SVE. ESP is standard.
Nissan claims the car is 'tailored for the city' and even has a Parking Slot Measurement device to help you park on city streets. It also has the lowest turning radius on the market at 4.65m.
Cars for sale in Europe are built in India, where the brand's Pixo is also produced.
There are currently some 46,000 Micra owners in the country and Nissan Ireland believe many of these drivers will be interested in the latest model.
