The new generation Mercedes-Benz CLS has arrived in Ireland at a starting price of €65,750, an entry cost 23 percent than that of the first version.
The car is available here with two diesel engines, a 2.1 four and a 3.0 V6, B and D rated respectively for tax purposes in Ireland. The second car sells for €71,700, also lower than its equivalent version's of €84,850.
The CLS is built on the E-Class platform, and the styling of the new car is much stronger than that of its predecessor.
The car uses LED technology to light up indicators, sidelights and low and main beam functions.
The CLS is the first of six new Mercedes-Benz models arriving here this year, others being a C-Class facelift and coupé (April), SLK (April), B-Class and M-Class (November/December).
