Volkswagen's new Jetta will launch on the Irish market in May at a starting price of €21,985.
Styling cues for the new generation sedan include a front end like the new Passat, and interior upgrades to bring it into like with its sister car the Golf.
The new car is longer and has a longer wheelbase, which allows an increase in rear legroom by 67mm.
Engines include a 1.2TSI 105hp to a 2.0TDI 140hp, both within VRT band B. Its most fuel efficient engine (1.6TDI 105hp) produces 4.5/100km and sits within VRT band A with 119g/km of C02.
The car will be available in three trim levels, Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. Diesel models start from €23,725.
