Irish Ferries are offering a pleasant surprise for all those Easter bunnies sailing to the UK or France over the holiday period.
On services to France, one way fares for a car plus two adults begin from €109 (seats only) and €168 (with cabin) while those going to the UK can travel from €107 one way, again for a car plus two adults, providing they book 21 days in advance and can travel on two midweek night sailings throughout April.
The company is also urging travelers to consider the speed at which they can get to Britain by using their own car and crossing by ferry.
Living in Leinster, a motorist can breakfast at home and be in Manchester by lunchtime. Travelling from Galway or Belfast or points in-between, motorway links mean that motorists can leave after breakfast and be in Manchester for dinner.
On the southern corridor from Rosslare to Pembroke, motorists could leave early from Wexford, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny or Cork and be in Cardiff by mid-afternoon - or in London for dinner, with time to spare. And car passengers can carry all that they want to bring with them, even the family pet.
Bookings can be made on-line at www.irishferries.com or by calling 0818 300 400.
