Revised Soul shown at NYC Show

Kia has introduced a revised version of its Soul at the New York Motor Show.

Although the diesel engine is the one relevant to this market, the revisions include a more efficient 140hp 1.6 direct injection petrol engine, and the option in some markets of a 2.0 petrol.

A new six-speed transmission features.

On the outside, Soul gets subtle changes including new projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a redesigned bonnet and new front and rear bumpers.

There are also new LED rear light clusters, while the overall shape of the vehicle gives Soul a smoother and more streamlined silhouette.

A more high-tech, futuristic cabin is announced, with a three-dial instrument cluster, LCD illumination and floating centre stack design.

RHD versions are expected in the autumn.
