Ford ups C-MAX production

The Ford C-MAX is the leader in its market segment in Ireland (23 per cent share) with sales since its launch last November at a respectable 640 units, writes Trish Whelan.

Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland says "With its low emission engines and extra versatility, C-MAX has found favour with Irish families and continues to be an important model in our 2011 line up."

New C-MAX is surpassing sales expectations across Europe recording more than 100,000 sales and orders since its launch late last year.

To meet demand for the five-seat C-MAX and seven-seat Grand C-MAX, Ford has increased the line speed at its plant in Valencia, Spain. The result has been an almost 18 per cent increase in daily C-MAX production at the plant.
