Peugeot unveils its new 308 Hatchback

The new-look Peugeot 308 hatchback has arrived in Ireland priced from €20,495.

The car has styling elements seen on the newly-launched Peugeot 508 including Peugeot's new signature floating grille for an elegant and modern look.

The new Peugeot 308 sees the introduction of a Euro 5, 1.6 HDi diesel engine and the brand's micro-hybrid eHDi Stop & Start technology.

Standard equipment on the 308 Access 1.6 Hdi 92bhp model includes air conditioning, a full size spare wheel, ESP (electronic stability programme), ABS, EBFD (electronic brake force distribution), EBA (emergency brake assist), front and rear electric windows with child security, remote control central locking with deadlocks, two ISOFIX child seat fixtures, and six Smart safety airbags.

The Active 1.6 Hdi 92bhp model, from €21,995, gains Bluetooth, front fog lamps, LED daylight running lights, auto wipers and lights, an electro-chrome rear view mirror, cruise control with speed limiter, leather steering wheel, front and rear centre armrests and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The Active 1.6 Hdi 112bhp Ecomatique model, priced from €23,995, features Peugeot's new eHDi Stop Start technology, which works to reduce consumption by up to 15 per cent, and C02 emissions to 109g/km.

All three models are in Band A for €104 annual road tax.

Since its launch in 2007, over 900,000 308 models have been sold worldwide. Peugeot in Ireland aim to sell a total of 700 units before the end of this year.
