Land Rover increase power and lower emissions for 2012

Land Rover has increased the power of its 3.0 SDV6 diesel engine from 245hp to 256hp wile C02 emissions have been reduced from 243g/km to 230g/km.

The fuel economy has improved from 30.7mpg to 32.1mpg.

They have also introduced the new 8-speed automatic transmission as part of the upgrade for the 2012 range.

The engine is used primarily in the Land Rover Discovery 4 and the Range Rover Sport (2012 model is pictured above).

The 5.0 R-V8 supercharged petrol engine continues to head the Range Rover Sport powertrain range in 2012, developing 510hp and 625Nm of torque.

The cars have also been given an enhanced exterior and interior design revisions across the range. A new powered restyled tailgate has been introduced across the range for greater convenience. The lift height can now be set by holding the tailgate at the desired height and pressing the tailgate button for 10 seconds.
