As part of a 'one stop shop' offering, the insurance fees will be paid directly to the insurer on behalf of the owner.
The company will also be offering a reduced-rate hire option for a petrol or diesel powered car to EV owners who want a traditional vehicle to make longer journeys, such as a weekend away.
Renault also says that maintenance costs for an EV will be 20 percent less than for a vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine.
