Kia Ireland is to publicly premiere its new generation Rio at next week's National Ploughing Championships in Athy, Co Kildare.
The company has announced a lead-in price of €15,295 for the 83hp petrol model in LX specification. The car has an 83hp power unit.
An 89hp diesel 1.4 in EX specification will be on sale at €17,895.
Both engines are A rated for Irish road tax, and aircon is standard on both grades.
The new model is longer, wider and lower, and features a wheelbase extended by 70 mm, providing increased passenger space and cargo capacity.
