Hyundai increases price of i40 Tourer

The price of the Hyundai i40 Tourer is increasing by €1,000 in advance of the saloon version which arrives in December, writes Trish Whelan. This is less than the €1,500 increase originally forecast when the wagon was introduced at a special price of €24,995-€29,995.

But Stephen Gleeson, Managing Director of Hyundai Cars Ireland said customers who are currently awaiting delivery of their car will still pay the lower introductory price.

So far, some 112 Tourers have been sold since the car's launch two months ago, with 12 being ordered by one company alone. The Hyundai MD said that Hyundai are for the first time aggressively targeting fleet business with the i40. At present, some 40 per cent of D-segment business is expected to be from fleets.
