The new Honda Civic will arrive in Ireland in January 2012, writes Trish Whelan from Malaga.
Engines will be a 1.4 100hp petrol in band B, a 1.8 petrol 142hp also Band B, and a 2.2 diesel outputting 150hp in band A. Eco Assist will be offered for the first time in a non-hybrid car.
A smaller and lighter diesel engine will be available in the new Civic from January 2013.
Frank Kennedy of Universal Honda Ireland said the Civic will account for 50 percent of their sales next year with around 750 units.
Entry level starts at €20,995 which is the same price as the car it replaces.
