This is the sporty member of the Opel family and was designed and engineered at Opel's facility in Russelsheim in Germany.
The GTC range starts at €22,995.
Engines available initially include three petrols (a 1.4 outputting 120PS, 140PS and a 1.6 180PS) and a 1.7 diesel (of 110PS and 130PS).
The 165PS 2.0 CDTi is an upgrade of the diesel fitted to some models in the Insignia and Astra ranges. All engines have six-speed transmissionn. The 2.0 CDTi engine can do 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h. Combined fuel consumption is a frugal 4.9 L/100km and the car is in Band B for annual road tax. The most powerful engine is the 1.6 Turbo producing 180PS. A high output OPC model is set to arrive early next year.
A 1.7 CDTi outputting 110PS and 130PS is due in January next.
