Skoda will present the new Citigo subcompact as a five-door version for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show next month, writes Trish Whelan.
It will be launched in European markets together with the three-door version from mid-May.
The Citigo is Skoda's entry into the fast growing subcompact segment. It was launched in the brand's home market, the Czech Republic, in late 2011.
The new city car is also the first Skoda model ever to sport the brand's new logo.
Powering the Citigo is a three-cylinder petrol engine with 60hp or 75hp. It achieves 4.1 L/100kms, C02 emissions are just 96g/km.
The car has been awarded the top score of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test.
