2012 Fiat Punto prices announced

Fiat has announced prices and specifications for the 2012 Fiat Punto in Ireland.

Four engines power the 2012 Punto, three of which are in VRT and Road Tax Band A with the remaining engine in Band B.

The entry-level powertrain is the 69hp 1.2 petrol which has been revised for improved refinement and efficiency. The 75hp, 1.3 MultiJet II turbo diesel is also available, while a 77hp 1.4 petrol engine, with automated manual transmission, is also offered.

The entry-level 'Pop' version includes central locking, electric front windows, electric mirrors, remote stereo controls, four airbags, trip computer and daytime running lights. 'Easy' adds air con, remote locking, heated door mirrors, leather steering wheel and an upgraded dashboard while 'TwinAir' adds rear privacy glass, front fogs, and gloss black mirror caps.

Available features include ESP, climate control, parking sensors, automatic wipers, Blue&Me connectivity, sports body kit and a TomTom2 Live sat nav system.

Prices start at €13,295 for the 1.2 Pop (3dr), while the 1.3 JTDM Pop retails for €14,995 (3dr) and €15,495 (5dr). The 1.2 Easy is priced at €14,795 (3dr) and €15,295 (5dr). The 1.4 Easy Automatic retails for €16,795 (5dr). The 1.3 JTDm Easy costs €16,995 (5dr) while the TwinAir (3dr) is priced at €16,295.

First Puntos arrive in showrooms early this month. A five year warranty and five years' roadside assistance is standard.
