Free tax and insurance on Volkswagens extended

Volkswagen is extending its free motor tax and insurance offer on any new Volkswagen car purchased through May and June.

The offer which was originally launched in April has resulted in an average saving of those taking up the offer of €495 per annum. To celebrate being No. One in the market for April, VW has decided to extend the offer for two months.

Any customer who chooses a new Volkswagen model in the extended period will have their car insurance included free of charge for twelve months, underwritten by Allianz plc and also have their motor tax paid for the year. Customers can choose from a range of VW models including the recently launched up! city car, the new CC and Touareg SUV.

To qualify, purchasers must be aged 25 or older, hold a conviction free full driving licence, not have received any more than four penalty points in the last three years; not have had an accident or made a claim (excl windscreen) for greater than €10,000 in the last five years; hold a minimum four years earned no claim bonus.

Until 26th May, Volkswagen are celebrating their success with Carfest, a chance for customers to see the new Cross Polo, the CC, the World Car of the Year, the up! (pictured) and while there, they can avail of a free vehicle health check and a valuation on their car.
