Schedule for Bavaria City Racing Dublin Track

With just three days to go until Bavaria City Racing Dublin takes over the streets of Dublin and transforms the city into a haven of Formula 1 and motorsport, here are the details on what the public can expect to see on Sunday next.

The event gets underway at 12 noon with five full hours of on-track entertainment. Dublin's city centre will be closed for the day to accommodate the city track which starts at the Convention Centre Dublin, continues along Customs House Quay before crossing Butt Bridge chicanes at D'Olier Street, zips past College Green and the Central Bank on Dame Street before reaching the chequered flag on O'Connell Bridge.

Former F1 World Champion Jenson Button will do three circuits of the track, one in the McLaren MP4 Supercar at 12:20 and two in his Vodafone McLaren F1 Car (13:20 and 14:35).

Giedo van der Garde, driver for the Caterham F1 team, will complete three circuits of the city track in his F1 car (14:00, 15:25 & 16:30). Also not to be missed is the Monster Street Mania (12:40 & 15:45) a spectacular series of choreographed stunts featuring legendary stunt drivers Terry Grant, Buttsy and Mattie Griffin.

The on-track schedule also features Irish Superbike star Eugene Laverty and his Aprilia team (13:40 & 16:20) and Irish AIGP world champion Adam Carroll in the 24hr Le Mans Spyker (12:30 & 15:05).

ON TRACK PARTICIPANTS

Jenson Button & the McLaren F1 team
Jenson Button is a British F1 driver currently signed to the Vodafone McLaren F1 Team. He was the 2009 World Drivers' Champion.

Caterham F1
Caterham F1 Team joined the top rank of world motorsport in 2010 and in its first two years in F1 has consistently been ranked in the top ten of the Constructors’ championship. Diver Giedo Van der Garde is performing on track.

Aron Smith
The 22-year-old from Rathfarnham, Dublin was crowned Motorsport Ireland’s Young Racing Driver of the Year in 2011. Last year. Aron competed in the UK’s AirAsia Renault Clio Cup and he also made his debut in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Eugene Donnelly
The Irish motorsport star comes to the event with five Irish Tarmac Championship wins and 19 international rally wins under his belt to date. Eugene will excite spectators by driving the MINI Cooper WRC through the streets of Dublin at Bavaria City Racing Dublin.

Eugene Lafferty
Eugene Laverty is a professional motorcycle road racer from Toomebridge, Northern Ireland. He was runner up in the World Supersport Championship in both 2009 and the 2010 seasons and will race with the Aprilia Superbike team in 2012.

Adam Carroll
Adam is from Portadown and currently holds the title of A1GP World Champion and most recently has competed within the IZOD Indycar series (as part of the Andretti Autosport team), GP2, WSR 3.5 and AutoGP.

Mattie Griffin
Mattie Griffin is from Galway and was ranked fifth in the world at Street Bike Freestyle Riding in 2008 and 2009. He is now one of the world’s leading stunt riders.

Monster Street Mania
A collection of the world’s greatest stunt drivers including the legendary Terry Grant, Mattie Griffin, Buttsy, Julian Smith and Ronan Carey.

Jennifer Mullan
The first female driver to compete in Formula Sheane will be the only female driver at the event.

Spyker Squadron
Spyker Squadron was founded in 2001 to underwrite the performance of the highly exclusive hand-build Spyker sports cars. The team is based in Zeewolde, the Netherlands and competes annually in the Le Mans Series and the 24hrs of Le Mans.

GT3
Created for the Porsche Supercup and the ever-growing number of Carrera Cups and GT3 Cup Challenges around the world, these cars are powered by the same 3800cc engine as the 911 GT3 RS

Pro Drift
Pro Drift is Ireland’s longest running Drift series and has produced some of the Worlds best Drifters.

Breezemount Motorsport
The Hillsborough based team which has been heavily involved in motorsport both north and south of the boarder and competes in the GP2 series.

Off Road Buggies
Yamaha 600cc RR, Sequential box, with fibreglass body kit and engine of only 4500Kms.
