Mini Countryman gets JCW treatment

The latest Mini to get the John Cooper Works treatment is the Countryman, which also brings to the party the AWD system which the nameplate is the only model in the range which has it, writes Brian Byrne.

The powertrain is the special 1.6 turbocharged petrol unit with 218hp recently showcased in the brand's 2-seater version.

The car will be built at the BMW Group’s partner firm Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik in Graz, Austria.
