A pair of new electric vans from the PSA Group will be debuted at the Hanover Commercial Vehicles Show next week, providing an impetus to the EV commercials market, writes Brian Byrne.
The Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner will have electric powertrains developed with EV partner Mitsubishi, outputting 67hp and with 200Nm of torque available.
The batteries are under the floor of the vehicles, which mean that the volume capacity of the vans is the same as the normal versions powered by standard petrol and diesel engines.
Load volumes are up to 4.1 cu m and the vans offer a payload capacity of 675kg.
The vans are due for sale in the second quarter of next year.
