New Santa Fe in Ireland
The new generation Hyundai Santa Fe launches on the Irish market tomorrow in three grades, with CO2 ratings from 147g/km for the 2WD version, writes Brian Byrne.
The 2.2 diesel powertrain in Ireland claims a better fuel efficiency than the Lexus RX competitor, and the car is available in three grades, Comfort, Executive and Premium.
In addition to the current Hyundai customer base for the previous generations of the Santa Fe, the distributors expect a new group of potential buyers who will look at the car for the first time as a premium option.
The entry 2WD versions will be accompanied by 4WD variants with an automatic option.
The new Santa Fe is longer, wider and lower than the predecessor car, and offers more passenger and cargo space. In Ireland it comes with seven seats as standard. Safety systems include a new 'active' bonnet for protecting pedestrians.
Prices are being announced to dealers here tomorrow morning.
