Latest Fiesta here for January

A substantially revised version of Ford's Fiesta, Europe's best selling small car, comes to Ireland for the 2013 car market with the world engine award winning 1.0 EcoBoost 3-cylinder engine, writes Brian Byrne from Rome.

At an entrance price of €15,550, the renewed Fiesta will come to Ireland with a powertrain choice from the 65hp naturally aspirated 1.0, 1.25 petrols with 60hp and 82hp, a 1.6 petrol auto, and the new 1.5 diesel. A turbocharged version of the EcoBoost engine will be available to special order.

The car is also the first European Ford to get the MyKey system by which parents can set a number of limits in speed, audio level and fuel warnings for when their children are using the vehicle.

The latest Fiesta has also achieved a top rating in the more stringent Euro NCAP crash test regime, and features seven airbags as standard.
