New Ibiza Cupra unveiled

This is Seat's new Ibiza Cupra in production form, barely changed from the concept shown at Beijing last April, writes Brian Byrne.

The car offers a sprint capability to 100 km/h of 6.9 seconds, powwered by a 180hp 1.4 TSI petrol engine, with a fule consumption of just under 48mpg equivalent. Transmission is a 7-speed DSG.

RHD versions will be available from January. No Irish price or arrival yet.
