The Dublin Airport Authority has purchased nine new Renault Kangoo ZE electric vans for use at Dublin and Cork Airports.
CO2 savings of more than 200,000kg over the lifetime of the vehicles will be achieved in the use of the vans, which is equivalent to planting more than 6,000 trees.
The company trialled the use of a Kangoo ZE in advance of the decision to purchase, in a programme supported by ESB ecars.
