Mini in London has set up a 'Try a Mini Cooper' station in the West End, where people can rent a run in a car for an hour for just 26p, writes Trish Whelan.
The scheme will run through into early January, and Londoners who want to experience a Mini Cooper simply put their money in a ticket machine and wait their turn for an hour behind the wheel.
Mini staff will accompany the driver on their run, explaining the details of the car. They will even drive it back to the base station at the end of the experience.
It was devised after a survey found Londoners to be the least likely to laugh during their day of any UK city.
