Two new FIAT vehicles coming in 2014

FIAT are planning production of a new Jeep vehicle and a new FIAT vehicle at the company's plant in Melfi, southern Italy, commencing in 2014.

With an investment programme of more than €1 billion, Melfi will be one of the most advanced car assembly plants in the world, equipped with the very latest technologies and managed according to World Class Manufacturing standards.

The first of the two new models will be a Jeep Sport Utility Vehicle that represents the brand's entry into a new market segment. Melfi will be the only plant in the world to produce this model which will be sold all over the world. The Jeep's sister vehicle, the new Fiat 500X will also be built at Melfi.
