'People want to buy green', Ford survey shows
Fuel efficiency is a major factor in choosing a new car for seven out of ten motorists across Europe, according to a new survey commissioned by the Ford Motor Company.
The survey also showed that more than half consider climate change to be the biggest issue facing the world, and a third of respondents said they would pay more to buy a more environmentally-friendly vehicle.
Ford's new Fiesta offers more sub-100g/km CO2 emissions engines than any other brand's offerings in the class, the company noted when releasing the results.
