Dublin Mayor gets new Volvo

Dublin's Lord Mayor has taken delivery of a Volvo S80 D3 for the mayoral car for 2013, with the traditional first registration plate of the year for Dublin, this year 131 D 1.

The car is powered by a 2.0 diesel with fuel efficiency equivalent of almost 66mpg and CO2 emissions of 114g/km, putting the large saloon in the very low tax band for its class of A2.

Volvo is a world leader in reducing C02 emissions, so the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Naoise Ó Muirí, is happy to choose the Volvo S80 D3 SE as the official Mayoral car for 2013. Tradition dictates that the first citizen of Dublin has the first car registered in the capital each year, for use as transport for official engagements.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Naoise Ó Muirí has chosen a Volvo S80 D3 which is a powerful and economical 2.0 liter Diesel Engine benefiting from CO2 emissions of just 114 g/km (tax band A4) and fuel consumption of 4.3 l/100 km (65.7 mpg) respectively.

The Lord Mayor can enjoy an exceptional standard of specification and power meanwhile retaining economical fuel consumption and low C02 emissions.
