VW has China recall over DSG gearboxes

A China recall of Volkswagens to fix potentially faulty gearboxes affects 384,181 cars, writes Brian Byrne.

The recall is over a range of models and involves problems with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearboxes.

The issues reportedly relate both to defective equipment and software problems.

Volkswagen Group cars sold in China last year exceeded 2.8 million units.
