Peugeot to increase 2008 production
Peugeot has decided to double production of its new 2008 small SUV, following a very strong interest in showrooms across Europe, writes Brian Byrne. The car arrives in Ireland in August.
And automotive consultants IHS are suggesting that the car will shift Nissan's Juke from the top of the segment, and that it will quickly be joined in second place by the new Renault Captur.
Currently the second place is held by the Opel Mokka.
The segment is expected to grow to 500,000 units a year in two years' time, compared to some 154,000 in 2012.
