Mazda Ireland is the official car supplier to the Laya Healthcare Street Performance World Championships taking place in Dublin's Merrion Square from today to Sunday (12-14 July), writes Trish Whelan.
A fleet of Mazda5 cars - with air conditoning to cope with the heat - will transport the street performers and visitors to and from the festival venue.
The cars will have the festival logo and will offer family visitors complimentary rides from both Heuston Station and from the Luas Stop at St Stephen's Green to Merrion Square.
This year's festival runs from 12pm to 8pm in Merrion Square. Organisers have scoured the globe to bring the best international street performers to Ireland to compete for the world champion title. The festival is free and includes jugglers, acrobats and sword swallowers.
The Mazda5 was selected as the official car for its interior space, 7-seat system and rear sliding doors which provide flexibility for carrying performers and their props, or parents and children. The car, with its clean diesel engines, is available from €26,595.
