Opel to produce rough terrain Insignia

Opel will be showcasing a more rugged version of its Insignia Tourer at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, writes Brian Byrne.

Based on the Sport Tourer wagon, the new Country Tourer variant will have higher ground clearance and an AWD, and will be available with 2.0 petrol and diesel engines of 250hp and 163hp outputs respectively.

Prices and Irish launch details will be announced in September.
