The Octavia rolled off the production line last week at the Mladá Boleslav main plant in the Czech Republic.
The Octavia is by far the brand's best-selling model. Over 42,000 Octavias have been sold in Ireland since the car's launch in 1996.
Raymond Leddy, Head of Marketing for Skoda Ireland says Irish customers have grown to love this model in particular. "The Octavia marked the real turnaround of the brand in Ireland and to this day remains the core model of our range."
The latest Octavia was launched here earlier this year and offers mid-class qualities for the price of a compact car. The sporty Octavia RS has just gone on sale here with a top speed of 248km/h making it the fastest series-produced Octavia ever.
