SEAT to drive Munster forward

SEAT is now partnering with Munster Rugby, writes Trish Whelan.

The three-year deal will see SEAT become the official car partner to Munster Rugby and title sponsor of the Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cups.

The partnership also includes SEAT supporting Munster Rugby's pre-season matches in the newly entitled 'SEAT Series', which will kick off on the 24th August in Thomond Park when Munster take on Gloucester.

Commenting on the new agreement, Cian O'Brien, Director of SEAT Ireland (and a Cork man) said: "As a proud and passionate brand with a great tradition, Munster Rugby is an excellent fit for SEAT and we look forward to promoting our association with them through our dealer network."

The new deal will be a highly visible sponsorship for SEAT and expose them to Munster's loyal support base and followers all over Ireland. SEAT will have permanent car displays in Thomond Park, showcasing new models including the new Leon Sports Coupe which arrived in Ireland in July, and the Sports Tourer which is due this winter.

In welcoming the partnership, Garrett Fitzgerald, CEO Munster Rugby said 'their support across a number of areas is a fantastic boost for us and we look forward to sharing great rugby occasions in the years ahead starting with the 'SEAT Series' on 24th August'.

SEAT is a Spanish motor company and a member of the Volkswagen Group.
