Citroen to showcase future design ethos

Citroen is signalling its design ethos in future cars with this Cactus Concept which will feature at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show, writes Trish Whelan.

The compact hatch sized vehicle will feature high ground clearance, a simplified controls ethos with touch screens taking the place of buttons and rotary knobs, and the iuse of natural trim materials.

The Peugeot-Citroen hybrid-air engine is the key element in the drivetrain. A production version of the car, the C4 Cactus, is said to be on schedule for launch in the middle of next year. It will replace the current C4.
