Ford's Transit Connect compact van has won the International Van of the Year 2014, writes Brian Byrne.
The win follows last year's achievement of the same award by the brand with the Transit Custom.
It is the first time a brand has won the award two years in a row. It beat the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the Renault Kangoo for the 2014 accolade.
