It kicked off with the Road Safety Association's annual Academic Lecture today, on the theme of 'Supporting Learner Drivers', attended by 150 driving instructors.
Speakers at today’s lecture included Ian Edwards, Director of eDriving Solutions Ltd, and Dr Charles Johnson, Technical Director of Competent Assurance Solutions in the UK. Mr Edwards’ presentation looked at the coaching role of the driving instructor in the learning to drive process, and Dr Johnson focused on the psychology of learning to drive.
The meeting was addresed by the Minister for Transport & Tourism, Leo Varadker TD.
